Please check out the planning ref in the blog title on the East Devon Council planning website to take a look at this planning application. It does not seem to be appropriate as it encroaches on the neighbourhood plan 'green wedge' intended to preserve Rockbeare parish as a separate entity. This will be discussed at a forthcoming Parish Council Meeting mid-July 2025 - details on the website Home page.

Many parishioners have asked about some clarification about the ownership status of the land adjacent to the Telephone box where 'Residents Only' parking signs have been erected. Land Registry records confirm that this land is owned by the Parish Council and as such anyone can park there with the Parish Council's permission. This is particularly important for school drop off and pick up. All the Parish Council would ask is that parking times on that land be kept to the minimum in the interests of all. The Resident Only signs will need to be removed. An excerpt from the Land Registry record showing boundaries is given below.
