Rockbeare Willage Hall

The hall was built in 1925, and together with the playing field, is leased from the Rockbeare Manor Estate. The hall is run by a committee of elected voluntary Trustees (Registered Charity Number 300948). In the summer of 2008 the hall received a grant of £20,000 from the County's RockETS fund. This was used to renew the roof and window frames, and the exterior was weatherproofed. A new heating system was installed and the plumbing updated including disabled facilities.

A new kitchen was fitted using a grant from the Devon 360 fund. This was money from the sale of Exeter Airport - very appropriate as the main flight path is a couple of fields away from the village. The Hall renovation was completed in 2011. The hall is available for private hire, and a bar can be provided if required.

If you would like to hold an event in the Hall either on a regular basis or for the occasional private party, please contact the Bookings Officer Sam Jarvis on 01404 822568 for booking availability and hire charges.

The attractive park, with children's playground is situated opposite the Hall. It is run and maintained by the Playground Committee (sub-committee to the Village Hall).  It is just perfect for the children to play. whilst the parents take a well earned rest!
