 Cranbrook Expansion Consultation

Residents of Rockbeare Parish are advised that a full consultation discussion of the Cranbrook Expansion Plan will be held at the Rockbeare Parish Council Meeting on Wednesday 17th April 2019, at the Rockbeare Village Hall – commencing at 7.00pm.

It is hoped that as many residents as possible will attend and use this opportunity to raise their questions with East Devon District Council Planning Officers, who will be present.

It is important that the views of as many Parishioners as possible are recorded, as the proposals set out in the Cranbrook Expansion Document impact substantially upon Rockbeare Parish.

Whilst the Parish Council will make a formal response to the EDDC (Cranbrook Expansion Consultation) proposals, it is important that Parishioners register their views individually. The necessary documents for registering individual views will be made available at the meeting on the 17th April.

18th September 2018  - Royal Mail SCAM MAIL ADVISORY

/RockbearePC/UserFiles/Files/Royal Mail Scam Mail 180918.pdf

23rd September 2016

It has been brought to the attention of the Parish Council, that the amount of litter being dropped in the village, has increased significantly.

In particular, over the past year, a number of soiled nappies have been deposited in various locations throughout the village, including upon footpaths close to the Primary School.

It is a matter of concern that the items referred to are not being placed in the bins provided or, in any appropriately marked bags/landfill bins. Furthermore, there is a  potential for  serious public health issues to arise as a consequence of this unacceptable practice.

The matter has been reported to East Devon District Council, which has provided the following guidance:

  • This behaviour is deemed to be anti social;
  • If any individual is witnessed committing the offence of littering, and the witness knows where the offender lives, that witness should provide EDDC with a witness statement. EDDC will then serve a fixed penalty notice upon the offender. (Please note that all witness details are held in the strictest confidence and will not be divulged to any third party).
 Please help us to keep our village safe and clean.
